WE ARE MISSIONAL

We Are Missional
We believe the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is for sharing with our neighbor and with our world. We are ambassadors, helping people to know Him, to love Him and to live for Him.
Matthew 28:19-20
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
2 Corinthians 5:20
20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.
Acts 1:8
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
John 13:34-35
34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
Mark 16:15
15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
Bridge Between the Sacramental Life with a Deep Commitment to Social Mission
Frank Weston (Bishop of Zanzibar)
Declared that one cannot worship Christ in the Blessed Sacrament and ignore Him in the person of the poor neighbor. He urged: "Go out into the highways and hedges, and look for Jesus in the ragged, in the naked, in the oppressed and the sweated."
Charles Gore:
Argued that the Incarnation requires the Church to be an active, transforming presence in the world, helping neighbors to "live for Him".
The Oxford Movement (Tractarians):
While initially focused on internal church reform, later leaders like Edward Pusey and John Keble emphasized that the "holiness" of the Church is demonstrated by its service to the "world" and its ability to lead others to "love Him" through the beauty of holiness and charity.
Michael Green:
Defined evangelism as an "overflow" of one's personal life with Christ, suggesting that sharing the Good News is the natural result of knowing and loving Him.
