WE ARE ANGLICAN

Anglicanism: A Global Christian Tradition

A "reformed catholic" tradition, seeking a middle way (via media) that roots itself in the early, undivided Church, while embracing biblical Reformation principles, emphasizing Scripture, creeds, sacraments (Baptism & Eucharist), and the historic episcopate, avoiding extremes of Rome and Geneva.

Reformed Catholicism
It’s Protestant and reformed according to the norms of the ancient Catholic Church, preserving first-millennium theology while rejecting later medieval Catholic innovations.

Via Media (Middle Way)
It's neither purely Roman Catholic nor "hyper-Protestant," but a balanced path.

Rooted in History
It traces back to the early British Isles and the undivided Church, not just the 16th-century English Reformation.

Key Pillars:
Scripture
The Bible as supreme authority.

Creeds
The Athanasian, Nicene, and Apostles Creeds.

Sacraments
Baptism and the Eucharist as ordained by Christ.

Historic Episcopate
Governance by bishops in apostolic succession.

Liturgical Focus
Deeply committed to the worship and sacramental life, particularly the Book of Common Prayer.

What We Believe
As orthodox Christians, we hold to the ancient creeds of the church; Athanasian, Nicene, and Apostles. We believe Christ is truly present in the bread and wine of Holy Communion. We believe baptism is for the remission of sins and brings people into the family of God. We are biblical Christians and hold to biblical values and teachings.
We are a community of Christians dedicated to loving God with all of our heart [The Great Commandment], and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all of His people [The Great Commission].

The following pillars serve as the foundation on which our tradition is built.
